Samsung Galaxy A3 CM13 Android 6.0 Marshmallow: This tutorial will teach you how to install CyanogenMod 13 Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your SAMSUNG GALAXY A3 device. This version allows you to port the latest version of Android, Android 6.0 Marshmallow to your SAMSUNG GALAXY A3. The first devices to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow are the Nexus 6X and Nexus 6P. In other words, for the many previously released Android devices, there won’t be an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for quite some time (and there is no guarantee that your device will get updated). You can, however, choose to wait for the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Samsung Galaxy A3 OR you can get Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your Samsung Galaxy A3 via the CM13 ROM.

Instructions
In order to install CM13 on your SAMSUNG GALAXY A3, you first need to download the CM13 ROM and simply flash it using a custom recovery like TWRP or Cyanogen recovery (which is available for most devices) with a factory reset/wipe data. The necessary downloads are available for you below. Before you continue, you should note that you would be required to download and install the necessary Gapps package for your version of Android. Currently, we have a Gapps 5.1 Lollipop Download page but for this ROM, you will need the Gapps 6.0 Marshmallow Download. We also have CyanogenMod specific Gapps packages that work with most custom ROMs.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is an operating system for mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) and this is the latest version released by Google. Windows is the OS that Microsoft has created for computers and tablets, and many people were wondering if it’s possible to install Marshmallow onto their PCs. Yes, they can do that, but there are some steps they must follow and we must warn them that the method won’t be simple.
First of all, the users will need to install three programs, otherwise they won’t be able to make their computers compatible with Android 6.0: Sourceforge’s Android-x86, which will help the users get the Android source code onto their computers; UNetbootin is for creating and formatting a hard drive partition; GParted for managing a partition.
With the help of these three programs, the users will create a separate portion on the hard drive that will have 64GB of storage space and they will choose which system will run when the PC will boot up. This means that the partition with Windows on it will not be deleted, but there will be another partition that will boot up in Windows.

First of all, the users will download the Android-x86 program from sourceforge.net/projects/android-x86, then they will format the USB drive to FAT32 using this tutorial: wikihow.com/Format-a-Flash-Drive. Then, they will download UNetbootin from unetbootin.github.io and search partition on the start menu, where they will open “Create and format hard drive partitions”. Then, they will right click the drive where they want to install Android Marshmallow and they will click “Shrink Volume”.
The drive must have a size of 64GB, so it will appear as 64000 MB. Next, the users will click “Shrink’ and the partition will be created. Now, it’s time to download GParted from gparted.org/download.php and run UNetbootin. Then, the users will select Disk image, they’ll click on the three dots and navigate to gparted-live-0.xx.x.x.i686.iso, the file that is related to GParted. Then, the users will choose the USB drive, click OK and when a pop up will appear, they will click Yes.

The PC will enter into boot menu (when restarting the computer, the user will press the F12 key until they will see a menu) and the user will navigate the menus with the arrow keys. They will select the flash drive, then they’ll press enter and a text will appear. When they will see GParted Live, the users will select it and they’ll press enter if they’ll see other windows popping up. So, GParted will pop-up in a window and the users will select the drive they want to install Android on – the unallocated partition. Here, the users will right click, press New and they will make sure that the file system is ext4 and they will press Add. Lastly, they will press Apply in order to make the change, and again ro remove the USB, then the computer will reboot.
The next step is to run UNetbootin, select Disk image, click on the three dots and go to the android-x86-6.0-20151202.iso file, previously downloaded. The users will now choose the USB drive, click OK and Android will reboot immediately.
Now, the users will enter into the boot menu again, select the flash drive (UEFI) and they will see the Android-x86 menu appearing. With the arrow keys, the users will select Installation, then they’ll press enter. The ext4 partition will be chosen first, but the users shouldn’t press Do not format. The users will click three times in a row on Yes, then on No and again on Yes. After a minute, the users will remove the USB drive and reboot.
